Mandurah Men's Shed
The Mandurah Men’s Shed is a fantastic non-for-profit organisation which started in 1999. Mandurah Men’s Shed use their woodworking and painting skills to create beautiful toys to donate to children in need. The group consists of around 30 members which are all retirees, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays at their workshop which is located at John Tonkin College. This is where the magic happens!
Mandurah Men’s Shed can create anything you can imagine, from doll houses, rocking horses, ride on tractors, trucks, blackboards and so much more. The possibilities are endless.
Mandurah Men’s Shed have been involved in our Children’s Festival for many years providing free toys for children to paint, glue wheels onto and take home. At the festival you will also be able to purchase toys from the group. All proceeds go towards buying additional supplies to keep making more toys for children.
Each year Mandurah Men’s Shed donates specially made toys to a number of organisations such as the Peel Health Campus Children’s Department, Esther Foundation and the Butterfly Foundation just to name a few.
As Mandurah Men’s Shed is a charity organisation they rely entirely on donations and selling their creations to keep running. This year Mandurah Men’s Shed have created an amazing Doll’s House to be raffled off at the Festival. Profits from the ticket sales assist to keep Mandurah Men’s Shed operating.
